Sydney Girls High School: Multi-Purpose Hall AV & Lighting Upgrade

Designed to support a wide range of school activities, the multi-purpose hall at Sydney Girls High School plays a central role in assemblies, performances, and community events. Primo Group Services was engaged to enhance the space with modern, flexible audiovisual and lighting solutions that elevate both functionality and user experience.

A key feature of the project is the custom mobile audio system, housed within purpose-built carts that allow seamless deployment across different areas of the school. This system integrates with both indoor and outdoor PA infrastructure, ensuring consistent, high-quality sound for assemblies, presentations, and external events.

The lighting upgrade includes Chauvet Professional Ovation H-55FC RGBAL fixtures, delivering full-spectrum colour mixing and enabling the hall to adapt to a variety of uses. From formal assemblies to theatrical performances, the lighting system provides dynamic control over mood, tone, and visual impact.

To further enhance flexibility, a DMX-controlled house lighting system was implemented, allowing staff to easily configure lighting scenes for different events. This provides precise control over brightness, colour, and effects, supporting everything from rehearsals to full-scale productions.

The audio system was designed to deliver clear, balanced sound throughout the hall, ensuring speeches, music, and performances are heard with clarity and consistency. Together, these upgrades create a cohesive, high-performance AV environment that is both powerful and easy to operate.
